Rectangular White Custom Sign

You have selected the shape of your custom sign. Now it’s time to select from several options.

Size and Sheeting: The standard size of a sign located in a parking lot measures 12”x18”. Most of the parking signs that we fabricate for customers is of this size. If you require a sign that offers greater visibility, pick the 18”x24” sign. To learn more about the characteristics of your three sheeting options, click on the section entitled “Our Signs – FAQs” found below.

Text Color: The text color options provided are standard for parking signs of various kinds.

Anti-Graffiti Film: Anti-Graffiti film is a 3M product. Essentially, it is a clear, very thin material that is applied over the face of a sign to protect the sign itself from markers, crayons, lipstick and other items used to deface a sign. This material is most commonly used in areas where defacement is a common problem.

Text: Four text boxes are provided. Use these boxes to type the content of your custom sign. Each box represents a line of text. Where possible we create the sign based on the text provided for each line. There are times however, when that isn’t possible. In those cases, we try to lay out the sign in a way that conveys your message clearly while making it visibly attractive.

E-mail Proof: By default this setting is set to YES. That means we will email you a proof of the custom sign for you to review. You will have to approve the proof by return email before we can process the order. You can change the setting to NO and we will not send a proof before production.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR SIGNS

ARE ALUMINUM SIGNS BETTER THAN THOSE MADE FROM STEEL, TIN AND PLASTIC?
Yes, they are! Steel and tin will both rust while aluminum will not tarnish, rust or corrode. Additionally, tin is easily bent while plastic can crack. The aluminum we use (.080 gauge) is a heavy gauge generally specified by architects for most commercial and parking projects.

DO I HAVE TO DRILL HOLES IN MY SIGNS IN ORDER TO INSTALL THEM?
No. All of our signs are punched to make installation easy. They also have rounded corners to reduce injury caused by sharp corners and present a professional appearance.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY “SHEETING”?
When we refer to sheeting, we are talking about the reflective material applied to a sign. The sheeting we use is manufactured by 3M. Their reflective sheeting is approved for use by Department of Transportation agencies in virtually every state.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PRISMATIC ENGINEER AND HIGH INTENSITY SHEETING?
We use three reflective sheetings: Prismatic Engineer, Prismatic High Intensity and Diamond Grade. Engineer Grade Prismatic reflective sheeting is designed for commercial and non-critical signs such as No Parking and Restricted Parking signs. This material has a performance life of 7 years. However, it may not meet federal minimum reflectivity levels over the life span of the sign.

High Intensity Prismatic reflective sheeting is designed for traffic control signs and work zone signs such as Speed Limit signs, One Way signs and Street Name signs. It has a performance life of 10 years.

Diamond Grade reflective sheeting is also used for traffic control signs. This material is twice as bright as High Intensity Prismatic material and has a life of 12 years. Diamond Grade fluorescent reflective sheetings uses prismatic and fluorescent technology to provide excellent visibility at dawn, dusk and during inclement weather. This sheeting combines the impact of fluorescent color for daytime driving with high reflectivity adding increased visibility for nighttime conditions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT SHIPPING

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP TO ME?
If we receive your order during regular business hours, it will generally ship the next business day. Orders placed during hours when we are closed will be received the following business day and processed for shipping on the following day.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
That depends on your location and UPS shipping method selected. Ordered being shipped to locations in the states of New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, for example, are usually received the day after we ship while orders being shipped UPS Ground to the west coast generally take a full week.

DO YOU SHIP ORDERS OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES?
No. Shipping costs related to orders leaving the country are very expensive. In addition to the normal shipping fee assessed by UPS, there is a fuel surcharge, processing charge and import taxes. In many cases, the total for shipping is a great deal more than the total for the purchase.

DO YOU OFFER FREE SHIPPING?
Yes, when sign orders reach a minimum of $250.00 we will pay UPS Ground shipping to locations within the continental United States. The purchase of traffic cones, posts, mounting hardware, vests, portable sign supports and other non-sign items are not eligible for free shipping.

MY ORDER FOR SIGNS MEETS THE MINIMUM PURCHASE OF $250 BUT SHIPPING IS STILL SHOWING ON MY ORDER. HOW COME?
Computers, being computers, have an odd sense of humor. There are times when shipping is not subtracted from an order when it is placed. We manually remove the shipping at the time of processing when this happens.

I ORDERED POSTS AND THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR SHIPPING. DOES THAT MEAN SHIPPING IS FREE?
No. Posts, when purchased in quantities of one or two, will have shipping added in most cases. However, the UPS server which provides the shipping charge for your order, has problems when it is asked to provide shipping for multiple posts. Posts are heavy and when the total weight for the posts you order becomes excessive by its standards, it will not provide shipping. When this happens, we contact you by email prior to processing your order so we can provide you with a shipping cost.

SOME ITEMS ON YOUR WEB SITE SAY THAT I SHOULD ASK FOR A SHIPPING QUOTE. HOW COME?
There are some items, traffic cones and portable sign supports, for example, that are shipped directly from the manufacturer to help control the costs for those items. Customers also make purchases in varying quantities that will determine if their order is shipped by UPS or common carrier. Where possible, orders are shipped UPS if that will lower your freight cost. Larger orders of such items require that they be shipped common carrier because it is more cost effective. As a result, freight costs will vary considerably and we want you to have that information prior to placing your order. Sometimes it is possible to purchase a similar item locally and avoid the cost of freight. We want you to be able to assess the total of your purchase and freight up front.
